Christmas Explosion, Part 3

For the last two Sunday’s Reggie and I have been teaching on the theme, “Christmas Explosion.” Several key themes have been presented so that we would all have the spirit of Christmas and the Christ of Christmas explode in our hearts this season.

Let me develop one more theme this great Sunday morning. Let’s ask the question again that I raised several Sunday’s ago. How can the spirit of Christmas and the Christ of Christmas explode in our hearts this wonderful year?

Think about this today! We can have a Christmas explosion this very morning, through integrity. Now this may sound strange, but here me out this morning. Let us read together Proverbs 2:7, the Bible says, “he, (the Lord), stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity.” Now the word integrity means to be complete, to be whole and unimpaired.

Here is what we have today. This Christmas season, as a believer we can develop a heart for God that is totally unimpaired, that has one desire and that is to be complete in nothing else but God. This is the heart of our personal and family integrity.

Now, how can we develop, create and live a life that is totally God’s? Consider these three thoughts, please.

  1. When God sees us, He breaks out into song.

Zephaniah 3:17

17 The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

  1. When God sees us, He delights in taking care of every detail of our lives.

Matthew 6:26

26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

  1. When God sees us, He is pleased by our faith.

Romans 10:17

17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

  1. Because of the above, because of our integrity let us live for God with everything that we have within us.
  2. Let us seek Him above anything.
  3. Let us live our lives as Paul did as he said, follow me as I follow Christ.
