The End Is Not Here Yet!

Introduction:

Have you ever been confused about your life? Have you looked at the events in your life and just concluded; “I just do not understand at all what is going on?” In the book of Job that is the question that job is wrestling with, he has lost it all and he is basically trying to figure out through God, his wife and friends, what is going on in my life. He is saying, “I do not understand!”

Maybe that is where you are today. Well I believe you are here today to receive at least some answers and God has sent you here this morning. This is exciting because even though you do not understand, that is ok, because, “the end is not here yet!” God is not finished with your life.

With that in mind, let me give you some encouraging words this morning! Like Job, the best is yet to come! Let us read together, Job 42:1-6, the Bible says, Then Job answered the Lord and said: “I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.

‘Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore, I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. ‘Hear, and I will speak; I will question you, and you make it known to me.’ I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you; therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”

Outline:

  1. God is working in your life, even though you do not see it.

Job 42:2

“I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.

  1. God will lovingly confront us when we are confused and that is good.

Job 42:3

‘Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore, I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.

  1. God will allow us to ask Him for insight.

Job 42:4

‘Hear, and I will speak; I will question you, and you make it known to me.’

  1. God will expose Himself to us.

Job 42:5-6

I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you; therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”

Conclusion:

  1. Thank God right now, He is still working in you.
  2. Worship Him, He is doing good in you.
  3. Talk with God.
  4. Then, watch and listen for Him.
