How Can We Develop a Deep and Intimate Faith, Part 2

Introduction:

Last week I started a message series titled: “How Can We Develop a Deep and Intimate Faith?”

In that message we talked about living with anticipation every day by renewing our minds with the truth of God’s word. Literally, living every moment with an expectation or a hope that we have never had before.

This morning, I want to teach part two of this series by giving you instruction on living in the ‘rest of God.’ We will dive deep into God’s Word and be taught by the Holy Spirit on this wonderful truth. This lesson will change all of our lives forever.

Let us read together Hebrews 4:1-3a. The Bible says, Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. For we who have believed enter that rest.
