Who is God, Part Two

Last week, I began a new series on, “Who is God?” In that teaching it was discovered that God is characterized by His strength, power, supremacy and His everlasting nature. This morning the series will continue as God through His word reveals to us all more of who He is, more of His character and nature.

Outline:  Let us continue and ask the question again, “Who is God?”

  1. He is the God who sees and meets needs.

Genesis 22:14

14 So Abraham called the name of that place, “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”

  1. He is the God who gives victory.

Exodus 17:1

15 And Moses built an altar and called the name of it, The Lord Is My Banner.

  1. He is the God gives peace and rest.

Judges 6:24

24 Then Gideon built an altar there to the Lord and called it, The Lord Is Peace. To this day it still stands at Ophrah, which belongs to the Abiezrites.

Conclusion:  So, “Who is God?”

  1. He sees and provides.
  1. He gives victory.
  1. He gives peace and rest.
