Do You Remember September 11, 2001?

Introduction:

Do you remember September 11, 2001?  This was the day that nineteen Islamic militants associated themselves with the extremist group of Al-Qaeda. They hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. This was reported and documented by the web page www.history.com., as well as many other news reporting sites.

That day the United States was under attack by a foreign enemy. Today as believers in Jesus Christ, we are also under attack by many enemies. Let me name a few for you this morning. There is Satan and the demons of hell, sin, others and ourselves. You see, we are under attack, too.

This morning, I wish to study with you some positive promises of God’s Word that teaches the believer that we have been given victory and we can hold our head up high in Holy Ghost confidence.

Outline: What are the positive promises in God’s Word concerning victory?

  1. We are more than conquerors.

Romans 8:37-39

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  1. We can walk in the impossible.

Luke 1:37-38

37 For nothing will be impossible with God.” 38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

  1. We are promised victory.

Proverbs 21:31

31 The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.

Conclusion:

  1. Victory belongs to the believer.

  1. God is waiting to achieve the impossible for you.

  1. Let us all walk in the promises of God.
